Recently I have been trying to find the easy, but proper way to mount 2 pumps on a vertical 2" x 2" cross beam on my eHERMS Brutus 10 clone. I ran to Ace this morning and found a couple U-Bolts. After putting it together I found its a perfect fit to mount 2 pumps with on the of the U-Bolts and thought I'd share my success and maybe help someone out since this community has done so much for me. Basically the 2 u-bolts squeeze the pumps together to grip the 2x2 beam perfectly. Hopefully this hasn't been posted already and the info can help someone.
The U-Bolt is 5/16" 2" x 3". The holes on the march pump were a little too small so I drilled out the holes a tad so that the threaded bolts went through easily.
I haven't welded in the vertical 2x2 beam yet because I wasn't sure how/where I was going to weld it. The peirce of steel its mounted to now is just a scrap piece of metal. I waited because I am going to make my keggles bottom drain and if I centered the vertical beam in the center it would be in the way of the mash tun drain.
