Hi all

I have just put some of my lager into a trial jar and took a hydrometer reading, according to the reading i can now put it into my keg. Thing is the bit i tested looks really weak in colour, will this improve when i leave it in the barrel or does this mean its not done properly.

Thanks

The color of the beer depends upon the ingredients as well as possible carmelization of the wort during the boil. Can you post a list of ingredients and their amounts? From that we could probably determine the expected color. Also, how large was your boil and for how long did you boil?
