I thought I would post since I thought it was a good idea. I wanted a way to keep track of my recipes, as well as any notes/variations/reviews. What better way then a spreadsheet!? Five minutes later, HLOOKUP and some formatting I came up with this.

It's pretty simple- Dump your recipe in any column above C (I like to sort alphabetically then) and then you can simply click the brew you want on the drop down list. I have it set to go down 50 rows, as well as some auto conditioning (Bold for key words, etc). Since I do kits at the moment, I have some samples that were pretty much copied and pasted from Northern Brewer (where I typically get my kits). Hope someone finds this useful!

Oh, and if some one IS interested but needs '03 format let me know. Happy brewing!

Looks like a nice setup. I pretty much use Beersmith right now for organizing my recipes and keeping brew notes.

Thanks! I've been contemplating getting beersmith (as well as supporting this site), but with cash being tight, I think I will wait until I start doing partial/full mashes so I can really appreciate it. Since I don't have it/never used it, what all does beersmith have as far as this goes? I want it just for late extract additions etc at the moment, but would love to have it. Any insight/suggestions appreciated!

I have had promash for a year now, but I am still having problems switching completely to it for saving recipes. I love the calculators, but I don't like how it displays recipes. I save mine on my HD using the recipator and then organize them in folders by style.
