Hello to all. Long time brewer, first time poster. I just finished up a batch of Mild yesterday. I bottled most of it, and when I was about 2/3 done I ran out of bottles(a box was damaged in transit) so I called up my buddies and we drank the rest of it straight out of the bottling bucket. It was pretty darn good, and that got me thinking about putting the next batch into a cask.

Ive been doing a ton of research online, only to find the usual bit about pins and firkins. I was wondering if anyone out there managed to whip up something a might simpler and homemade? I want to build the BYO Beer engine and I was thinking a 2 gallon bucket with a seal and throwing a valve on some part of it to accept the line would be sufficient. I really need to do this on the cheap too. Any other ideas or suggestions for this?
