Please forgive the noobs questions but I'm about to place an order for an auto-siphon and want to be sure I get the right thing.

If I'm going to be siphoning out of my 6.5 G glass carboy (primary) into a 5 G glass carboy for secondary - would it be easier with the larger 1/2" auto-siphon (less time). I did a search and it seems like most people are using the 5/16" sized auto-siphon.

Just want to be sure I order the right thing.

Oh yeah, almost forgot - how much tubing will I need to make the transfer?

I would go with the 1/2" autosiphon. I have a 5/16" and have been wishing they made a larger diameter one, I wasn't aware they did.

5/16" is just too slow or perhaps I am just too impatient.
