I transferred my DIPA to its 4th container this morning. It had been dryhopping with leaves and pellets for the second time. It brought a lot of pellet junk with it. Though I'm planning on putting a mesh bag over the tip of the racking tube when I bottle it, I'm wondering whether or not gelatin or KC finings will help to drop the hop junk out quickly, or if that works only on smaller particles. And if I add KC or gelatin today and don't bottle for another week or so, will it hurt the beer to have that crap sitting in there with it? I've only used finings once before---KC---and bottled shortly after.
