2.5" Tower Extension Project

This Spring I bought a 2.5" Tower used and installed it on my kegerator. I wanted a second faucet so I read about some projects here and squeezed it in.

Last week I realized I could fit a 22" keg unto the bump in the back of my kegerator so of course I needed a third faucet.

I bought a used wine fridge, installed a temp controller, frosted the glass myself, painted the tower white and added the second faucet and added the caster wheels.

To extend the tower I bought a 2-1/2" exhaust connecter for $3.50 at the local autoparts store. To cap the extension I bought a 2-3/8" Fence post cap. I drilled all the required holes then primed and painted with white appliance paint. I used self tapping screws to attach my homemade adapter to the existing tower. I've attached some pictures. Don't worry I don't have Miller Lite on tap, I'm just waiting for some small tap handles to arrive. I plan on using all white tap handles to match.

Is that real glass or plexi? Does it hold in the cold decent?

Its glass and does a great job, you can put your hand to the glass and it doesnt feel any different then the rest of the Fridge. I just had to move the thermometer so it would get down to a low enough temperature and then install a separate temp controller so i could adjust it accurately. I got a wine fridge that someone had pulled from their kitchen. It's a $1500 fridge that I got for $50 so I knew the quality was great. I don't think this model is listed anymore 61HK-WC but they still make a Kegerator with the 61HK-BS.
