Trial with the Hop Stopper

Just wanted to pass on a write up I did for the latest test of the Hop Stopper. 26 oz of hops!

I like that pic on the bottom of page 6...anybody for a nice thick slice of hop pie?

I must admit, this beats the 12 oz. Michael and I used in a 5 gallon batch of Stiffy. Michael always squeezed the hop bags, until we switched to a bazooka filter. I'm fairly happy with the bazooka, but more than 3 oz. of pellets will clog it. It has a lot less screen area than the Hop Stopper.

What beer style was he making? I would think the aroma alone would knock you over.

It was an Imperial IPA. And yes, the aroma is quite striking. It was also a 10 gallon batch.
