Nothing quite like some time away from work to get some projects done.

This was accomplished with a Velleman project box of some sort and a few odds and ends from the local surplus shop. PID, SSR, and sensor purchased from Auberins.com.

There's not much you can't accomplish with a drill, jeweler's saw, and a set of files.

Enjoy, and forgive the picture bukkake.

^Panel assembly complete. Onto the wiring.

^120 portion complete. Wires are soldered to connector terminals, as I didn't have any 16g crimp terminals on hand. This setup is not suitable for any serious current, but will be more than enough for the freezer.

^Sensor and control wiring complete.

^Sensor connected, powered up, and SSR activated.

^Playing around with it out the garage connected to freezer. All is working.

^I'm thinking I'll mag mount this to the freezer, though I'll probably end up going with heavy-duty double sided tape.

I'll be sure to update when I finally get the freezer moved, and the controller mounted.

Happy Giftmass everyone.

*EDIT: Descriptions added. Sorry about that. :)

Looks good. Gonna wire mine up today. What are using for the thermocouple/RTD connection at the panel?

Sorry for not getting pictures of it. I used 1/8" stereo phono plug and jack.
