very simple question.

say i brew a belgian golden strong and i want to add some brett. would it work fine if i drank an orval or two on brew day and tossed the 70 or so degree dregs into the carboy after the sacchromyces and put the carboy in a separate room away from my non-brett beers?

i don't think that the dregs will be enough... I would try to take the dregs and then build them up with starters... I'm no expert on brett beers but I don't think that you would have enough Brett in that to beer to give you the flavor profile you are looking for...

From what I've heard that will work, but it will take much much longer...better try and pour those dregs in a small starter like you would step up from.
