I know I here people say "Don't fear the foam," but tonight is my first time sanitizing my better bottles with it for fermentation.
I an making 2 things tonight, EdWort's Apfelwein, and Austin Home Brews Pumpkin Ale.
Does everone really just rack wort or apple juice right on top of the foam? While my pumpkin and grains are steeping, I mixed up the juice for the apfelwein, and when I poured it in the BB, the top is still filled with the foam. I know I have seen people do this on youtube, and read it here, but do you really leave all that foam?
Thanks,
Dave

Yup. You can even make cool animal shapes with it.
Seriously, the foam is fine. Even provides some nutrients for your yeast.

Who let you out of the tap room?:D

Oh, and what Shecky said.
