Well, I popped the top off the fermentor for the first time today (give me some credit I waited 3 whole days before I messed with it) just to have a quick look and, well, there was just a hint of banana in the otherwise perfect aroma coming from my beer (as well as a ring of leftover krausen towards the top); guess the high pitching temperature led to a some off flavors, ah well, we'll just have to wait another 3 1/2 weeks before getting a true first taste to see how bad the damage is.

That reminds me. I love bananas. Guess that comes from living here in the south! :) with banana cream pudding. Not sure if I'd like a banana flavored ale, but I've never seen like a banana flavored wine, only liquers. I wonder if there is something about bananas that make them a non fermentable fruit?
