I'm getting ready to bottle my first batch, and understand that I should probably add 1/4 teaspoon to it beforehand. When do I add this????

As I'm racking to the bottling bucket....One day prior....or when

Thanks

I usually add K-Meta then get it stirred in real well and allow about 2 days for it to settle down then go ahead with bottling. Others may approach this differently, but that's my way. Only been at Winemaking for a bit more than two years, so I am by no means an expert at it.

Salute! :tank:

Sweet, came here to ask that question.

Do you add it to the carboy, stir it in, and then wait before transferring to the bottling bucket? Or do you transfer to the bucket add the tabs then wait?
