I need to throw together a recipe for this weekend....

I'm thinking a wheat beer of some sort since it will finish quickly and I have washed Danstar Munich sitting in the fridge.

I have a bunch of specialty grains left over...
Crystal 40, 60, 90
Black Patent
Chocolate
Aromatic
Special B
Biscuit
Carapils

If I pick up 6 lbs of wheat DME, could I create an Amber Weizen with the grains I have? Hops suggestions? I'm thinking .5 oz. Willamette for 60 min, .5 oz for 15 mins?

The only recipe I'm finding was an AG batch that had 2 lbs of Crystal 40....which seems like a lot. I have 1/2 lb of each of the crystals, so thinking 1/2 lb. 40 and 1/2 lb. 60 would be all that's needed?

What did you make that you got the cake from?

I would think that any of those specialty grains would produce a pretty dark wheat. Not even amber really unless used in small, small quantitites. You could try a dunkel wheat (dark wheat) recipe.

Something like this

3.3 lbs bavararian wheat extract
2 lb pilsner
1 lb munich II
4 oz vienne
4 0z caramel munich
3 oz debittered black
1 oz tettnang at 60

Yeah, no. That's why I was thinking using the crystal to try an amber weizen. Just not finding much information on the style.
