Too many variables to really answer. The type of fridge, how old it is, the ambient air etc. I would say you are probably looking at a couple of hours at least. However, if it is a new fridge sitting in 55 degree ambient, it probably wont take that long.

I'm assuming from the bump that it's not yet cooled from the ambient temp of 60 degrees to the set temp of 40 degrees?

I have been trying couple different things and it seems that it's done. The coldest it had gotten was 56f.

Do you have a temp controller on it, or is it plugged directly into the wall? What is the thermostat set at?
