I mash in a 5 gallon Rubbermaid round cooler with an SS braid and batch sparge. Do I need to be concerned about how quickly I drain the wort. If so, what speed is appropriate?

I have the same setup (for now) and runoff as fast I can with getting a stuck sparge. I vorlauf about 3 pints so I can usually runoff at full speed...

I use the 10gal gott cooler and ss braid as well. I have limited experience with it, but run at full speed without issues.

Interesting. I have 10 gal Rubbermaid cooler with a SS braid loop and a Kewler Kitz 1/2 inch valve. I can usually stick a mash opening the valve much more than 45 degrees.
