This is the second time I have used this burner, last week being the first. When I hooked it up today, and turned on the propane, it comes straight out the little vent hole in the red part of the top. If I cover that hole, and turn the burner valve open, it comes out the burner. Has anyone ever seen this, or can tell me what to do, I really wanted to brew today, and don't wanna break out my old burner.

Don't cover the vent!!!! The regulator is bad and needs to be replaced. If you bought it locally maybe the store will replace it if it is faily new. If not it should only cost a few bucks at a local propane dealer like Amerigas or Suburban Propane. It is a safety issue and not worth the risk. They sometimes can be found at hardware stores or plumbing and heating stores.
