Safe is #2 HDPE......that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it. Actually, there's so much rumor and myth floating around in the forums, and on the Internet, that no one knows what's what.

......and not just on plastics. What follows may be :off:

Yesterday morning I was working out at the gym, and saw on CNN that the head of the Central Bank (I assume that means the Fed) says the recession is "leveling off."

A few hours later, while driving, I heard on NPR that foreclosures and jobless claims were up, and retail sales down.

What's real? Who's lying? How can I tell?

Same thing with plastics.....except the plastics probably ARE safe. ;)

Polycarbonate.

Which may or may not contain Bisphenol A.

Which may are may not be harmful to babies.

This goes way beyond the usual Homer bucket discussions we get here.
