I've been brewing beer for a few years. just started a Merlot from a kit a few days ago and it was fun and easy. So far so good.

What are some of the best introductory books or magazines for people that are just learning about making wine at home?

I agree that Jack Keller's site is a wealth of information. Just remember that anything you read is from that point of view. Techniques have changed over the years, so you will run across old school versus new school; you will learn what you really like best and if ever in doubt just reach out to the forum(s). Interactive forums are great, like this one, and winemakingtalk, and WinepressUS--just to name a few.

Other links you may find useful:
1. Home Winemaking Book by M. Pesgens @ http://www.homebrewit.com/winebook.pdf
2. Making Table Wine at Home by UC Davis @ http://wineserver.ucdavis.edu/content.php?category=Winemaking
3. Home Winemaking Instructions and Information by L. Shea @ http://www.honeycreek.us/
4. First Steps in Wine Making by C.J.J. Berry @ http://www.scribd.com/doc/8235475/eBooks-Wine-and-Beer-Making
5. How to Make Wine at Home by M. Carraway @ http://www.scribd.com/doc/37045332/How-to-Make-Wine

all good sites but i really like terry gerry's book its got allot of beginner stuff and a boatload of simple recipes.

its a stepping stone, i reference it now and again and its much more entertaining to read than some of the more serious books out there.

Techniques on Home Winemaking by Daniel Pambiachi - My bible. It can read a bit like stereo instructions though, but it has a Wealth of information.
