Here's the recipe I was given, though I changed the 0 min hop addition to a 5 min addition:
5 gal yield
6 lbs pilsen LME (flame out)
1 1/2 lbs Bavarian wheat DME
1 1/2 lbs crystal 120
1 lb light DME (flame out)
1.4 oz Chinook (11.1%) @ 90 mins
1.3 oz Chinook @ 30/5 mins
WLP 001
Hydrometer was broken. Targeted info:
1.066/1.016
19* SRM
83.5 IBU's
6.7% ABV
I usually get about 0.005 additional points of gravity and make room for it.
I gave it a month to ferment, and 5 weeks to condition, plus 1 week in the fridge.
It has a very similar taste, but the hops seem quite mellow. It's good, but not arrogant enough.
