I got trigger happy on Ebay when I ordered some new ballvalves and ended up with some SS reduced ports. They are the exact same as the valve shown here:
http://www.brewbrothers.biz/Ball-Valve-12-SS-STD

I had ordered four of these to use on the input and output to my HERMS coil in my HLT and to the input on my filling valves for my MLT and HLT located near the top of the kettles.

Does anyone see a problem using these when the rest of my HERMS system is set up with 1/2" all around? I'm using a March pump and gravity mixed.

I have one of those mixed in somewhere in my setup...I think it's on my mash tun outlet. I have a HERMS too and I never run the ball valve on the pump full open so it's never been an issue. It drains slower than a full flow port would, so it may take a couple seconds longer to prime the pump, but once it's primed it doesn't have any trouble keeping up with the pump outlet.
