Hey. Just a quick question about brewing water.
I normally use bottled spring or drinking water, but it's a bit expensive and I would like to cut my costs down a bit.
I have a 3 stage pur water filter on my tap and was wondering if using this filter would filter the water 'too much' (have to use brewing salts) or if there would be enough minerals left over to use it as is. The water tastes good, not flat or chlorinated or anything, I'm just trying to decide whether I should go out and buy another 7 gallons of water for my batch this sunday.
Anyone use a house filter (without ph or mineral adjustment), does it taste good on its own or do I need to either buy some additives, or just stick to spring water?
Thanks
