I have some cider in my Mr.Beer keg and I havent ever read anything negative about using the spigot and sampling some of my Cider or beer in the future just to see how everything is going. Is there any problem doing this?

Nope....I do it all the time. Before bottling, I also take the first cup or so out and drink it. It gives me a taste and also gets any setiment that rested in that area out of the spigot so it stays out of the first bottle. My Mr. Beer has turned into a hard lemonade/cider fermenter as well :D

Well Orfy,

Its a cider and I letting it sit for a solid 4 weeks, but I wanted to see how its progressing, and its pretty good so far.
