water bottle appropriate for fermenter?

I've been trying to find cheaper PETE (better bottles) too, but it seems you have to buy in bulk. so I stopped looking. It looks okay to me but good luck trying to buy one or two at a time.

Search, this gets asked ALL the time. If you find water bottles that are actually PET (recycling code #1 I think) then you are likely all set, but most are #7 which is a crap shoot. There are also plenty of threads in which people argue one way or the other about whether non-PET bottles are good or bad.
