Brewer: Hagen Email: -
Beer: Uber Amber2 Style: American Amber Ale
Type: Partial mash Size: 5.5 gallons
Color: 20 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 29 IBU
OG: 1.066 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 6.4% v/v (5.0% w/w)
Grain: 5 lb. American 2-row
8 oz. British Light Munich
8 oz. American crystal 20L
8 oz. American crystal 60L
4 oz. Belgian Special B
Mash: 92% efficiency
Boil: minutes SG 1.056 6.5 gallons
3 lb. Light dry malt extract
Hops: .5 oz. Cluster (7.9% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Challenger (6.3% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (aroma)
1 whirlfloc tab 15 minutes before flameout.

Mash at 156* for Irish style, mash at 152* for drier American style.
My efficiency is silly, adjust accordingly...

2 weeks in primary. Use gelatin when racking to secondary.

2 weeks in secondary, 1 at room temp, 1 at 45*F

Keg at 2.5volumes CO2.

Best after at least 2 weeks in keg, first 2 pints will be cloudy.
