This hot weather is killing my hops. I tried to shade them a bit but 103 to 105F is a bit much. I think the only one that came up in 4 is about to die.
 
I live in the San Fernando Valley and my little hop plants are suffering from this heat. Some of the leaves dried out. I hope they make it through this heat wave.
 
I have 5 outside and 6 inside. The 6 inside are in a greenhouse and are doing great. The 5 outside are down to 4, with only 3 doing okay. The heat is really retarding growth. Here in Austin it has been almost 100 or more every day for a month.
 
I guess I will have to buy hops anyway. I really thought I could grow them too. :eek:
