I just transferred my beer from the primary to the secondary fermenter but one day later i see white blotches on the top of the beer. Does this mean it could be infected or did i just transferred it too soon and its still fermenting? Any ideas?

Yes it's yeast rafts. Yeast buoyed up by co2 from the bottom. Or it's going to grow a krausen because you racked to soon but NOT and infection. Both things are perfectly normal and happen all the time.

I had a situation where I transfered to a secondary and I got this patchwork of white stuff on the top of my beer. Thought was infection but upon closer inspection was just a few continuous streams of CO2. Turned out there was a little bit of fermentation left.
