hey guy is there any books out there for the more advanced brewer. One that covers more grain types and what they are used for?

I know how to brew is good but is that geared towards first stating out?

^ +1 to Designing Great Beers. Yes to building recipes. He discusses a bunch of beer styles from a historical, commercial point and from NHC '93 & '94 second round contest data.

Brewing Better Beer by Gordon Strong. Gordon is a three-time winner of the National Homebrew Competition Ninkasi Award, is the current BJCP President and a BJCP Grand Master Level V judge. His book does not wast time reiterating basic brew info. Nuf said.
