Grains:
8 oz Caravienne steep at 160 for 20 mins

Extract/Sugar:
7 lbs Extra Light Dry Malt Extract (82%)
2 lbs Clear Belgian Candi Sugar (18%)

Hops (IBU's based on full boil)
2 oz Styrian Goldings 5.4% 60 min 26.2 IBU
1 oz Tettnang 4.5% 20 min 6.6 IBU
1 oz Saaz 4.4% 1 min 1 IBU

Pick your favorite yeast, there are plenty to choose from. This recipe is a work in progress, it is based on a recipe for a tripel that I have brewed and modified, so as of now I have not brewed this exact recipe.

I am thinking about brewing this beer, does the sugar go in with the extract? and can I substitute the pilsner extract with a pale malt extract?

Also is there any subsitutions I can make for the hops. AHS does not have them.

Yes to all. Pale malt is really the correct thing to use I think, I'm going to change the recipe. They have saaz, and you could use spalt.

edit: a half pound of caravienne should be used instead of biscuit I think.

Alternate hops schedule:
2oz Spalt 4.5% 60 min 22.4 IBU
1oz Saaz 4.4% 20 min 6.6 IBU
1oz Saaz 4.4% 1 min 1 IBU
