.5 fuggle 5 min

2nd stout
.5 crystal 60
,5 roasted barley
.5 black patent
.5 chocolate
6.6 dark LME
2 oz northarn brewer 60 min
.5 fuggle 10 min

Both look ok, I would only question - as far as ingredients - why you would want to use Extra Light extract when you are throwing in crystal and chocolate. I think light or amber would do fine there. I'm also not sure how much value you will get from steeping Munich Malt, Carapils, and bisquit. I suppose if you steep them at 155 for 45 you're really mini-mashing them, might extend that to 60 min but you have to hold the temp if possible. If you steep them in the kettle you would have a harder time holding 155 for 45-60.

The stout recipe looks good :)

Good Luck!

That's alot of chocolate malt in the Fat Tire clone. I'm NOT a fuggles hops fan, and I think the chocolate in there would be way too dark, so I like this one better:

7 lbs Pale Liquid Extract

8.0 oz Caramel/Crystal Malt
6.0 oz Munich Malt
4.0 oz Victory Malt
3.0 oz Biscuit Malt

0.75 oz Northern Brewer [11.00 %] (60 min) Hops 15.4 IBU
0.50 oz Hersbrucker [4.00 %] (15 min) Hops 1.9 IBU
0.25 oz Williamette [5.50 %] (5 min) Hops 0.5 IBU

This is a 2.5 gallon boil.

,5 roasted barley
.5 black patent
.5 chocolate
6.6 dark LME
2 oz northarn brewer 60 min
.5 fuggle 10 min[/QUOTE]

I was also thinking about .5 oz of licorice root at 20 min on this stout
