what else and in what ratio do i use if i don't have corn sugar?? brown sugar maybe??? table sugar?? corn syrup?? i need some thing for next weekends bottling session!! help!!!!
 
DME 1.1\4 cup for a 5 gal batch.Thats the only ingredent other than corn suger, I've heard of or used.. :drunk:
 
i don't have any DME either or i'd use that! LOL and there isn't a LHBS here any where that i can get it from.
 
You can use corn syrup IF it doesn't have anything extra in it, like vanillin. Add about 20% over the dry measure.

Brown sugar is ok in dark, roasty ales. It will give them a slight molasses flavor.
 
IIRC Corn Sugar is the US term for sugars derived from starch to produce Dextrose which is the industrial name for Glucose.

If you can find some powdered glucose/dextrose this will be the same as corn sugar.

Try ypur local chemist/pharmacy - they oftern stock powdered glucose
