A very simple Stone IPA clone.
With exception of the color, the hops character is spot on to a Stone IPA.
(will use DME next time as lovibond is waay off )

Using 3 gallons H20-Bring to boil
1oz magnum into boil for 50 mins
Add 4 Lbs English IPA LME & .5 oz Centennial - Boil for 10 minutes
shutoff heat.
Add .5 oz centennial for 5 mins (off heat)
cool / sparge into fermentation bucket

pitch yeast at 75F = whitbread dried ale yeast
Ferment 7 days
move to secondary / dry hop w/ 1oz magnum for 14 days

bottle with 1 cup light dme.

enjoy !

I had a glass of this in Huntingdon PA at a bar called Boxers. One of the best beers I have ever tasted. I am going to try a different recipe than this one that seems to me to be more on the spot. If it seems like too many hops I will try this one.

The Bee Cave Brewery IPA is based on a Stone IPA clone recipe and is very close to the real deal. Stone website says they use Columbus, Chinook, and Centennial, but I used all Centennial when I made it. SWMBO and I did a side by side comparison and both of us prefered the homebrew version.

I have heard they are always changing the Hops they use at stone? I am attempting a all grain clone next.

I would love to brew a 5 gallon batch of this. Should I just devide all the ingredients by 3 thin multiply by 5?
