My roommates dad lives in Germany and he wants to brew again.

Question is, what is the best possible way for him to get ingredients in Germany since there's nothing locally in terms of homebrewing.

who can ship there and what is the cheapest way to get it there?

Is he associated with the military? Most online shops send to the APO/AE addresses. That's where I got my start brewing. There is also a few local places - the best one that I know being in Belgium but they will ship throughout Europe. It's pricey, but sending international packages from the states (w/ no military address) would be far more I think. http://www.brouwland.com

I originally found that site (and the actual store is decent) by going to this site: http://www.brewferm.be/en/index.htm . Click on Distributors, then the Europe map. Maybe there is a homebrew distributor near your friend's dad.
