First shot at my own recipe, what do you think?

Grain/extract bill:

4lbs wheat LME
1 lbs light DME
1LBs flaked wheat

Hops:
.75oz Cascade 60 min
.25 oz Cascade 30 min
.25 oz Centennial 15 min

Yeast
White Labs WLP570

Sounds good to me. Is wl570 a belgian yeast? The hefeweizen yeasts might work out a little better. I guess it depends on what you are going for.

If you're doing a Belgium Wit then you need some orange peel and coriander to stay in the style.;)

Well not really going for that, just going for a citrusy base, want to add pineapple to it in the future, but not till I get the actual beer part of it right :mug:

How long did you boil the 1 lb of wheat flakes for or was this a steeping process? If so, how long and what temp range? Was this prior to adding the LME and DME? I enjoy making wheats and this looks pretty good.

It looks good to me. But if you are using 570 you won't get a heffe taste.

Don't get my wrong.. 570 is my favorite yeast (its what Duvel uses) but it'll give you a sweeter flavor.. almost more cherry-like as opposed to the bannaish flavor you get from WLP300
