Is there a way we could create a file full of more/new ingredients for beersmith and download and then import it into beersmith? Almost like an update.

I think there is. i just haven't had time to sit down and figure that one out myself. You may want to check in here:

I don't see anything on that site, but I've been accused of being blind.
Pol-
It's a pain to get all the correct info and input it for new ingredients. I've added about ten and it would be great to add them to a list for others and download any that I need.

I am not really sure what it is you are asking for but,
BeerSmith Support, Home Brewing Articles, Discussion Forum, Beer Recipes, Add-ons & More
Look at; "Add New Ingredients" (left column toward bottom of page) and "BeerSmith Grain Extensions" (right hand column).
Otherwise, you can just duplicate and edit an existing ingredient profile.
