Hi Guys,
I'm brewing my first all-grain batch of the year (work has been hell) and the owner of the LHBS kind of translated a beer that i like in the local microbrew restaurant. It's described as a brown ale with a hint of belgian candi sugar and a smokey finish. Here is the recipe i've put together for brewing this beer:
~55% Efficiency Mash at 154/60 minutes. Sparge at 168.
10 LB Pale Malt
.5 LB Crystal 30L
.5 LB Smoked Malt
.5 LB Chocolate Malt
.5 LB Candi Sugar (clear)
1 Packet muntons yeast
1 oz Styrian Goldings (7.1%) @ 60 minutes
I calculate this as being 27 IBU and 4.3% Alcohol.
Any suggestions?
