Hi guys,

I am testing a jalpeno recipe and wanted to test with an easy kit. I brewed it like a week ago and saw small small fermentation but as of 5 minutes ago the gravity is still over 1.040. I used 2.2 pounds of cane sugar as it requested, but I think the yeast was bunk.

If i were to repitch, what would a whitelabs equivalent be if any?

Thanks!

Sean

Well, since it's a lager of English origins, how bout a lager yeast with that same heritage?

Thanks. I think it maybe due to just underperforming yeast. It now looks like it is fermenting after i gave it a little shake, just slow slow.

I will hold off and see what I can find.

Thanks,

Sean

WSince lagers ferment at low temps, they do it kinda slow. Seems to me some use a lot more yeast when fermenting them to get'em going quicker.
