News Flash: Milk Stout is Made from Milk

I brought a growler of my Milk Stout over to my buddies house, told him it was a milk stout, that is was made from milk sugar. He loved it. We killed the growler together.

Next morning, I get a call from his wife saying he's been puking his guts out all morning. I never knew he was lactose intolerant. I felt pretty bad, even though I did mention that it was a Milk Stout.

So just keep in mind, if you have a beer made with lactose and you're sharing it with people, ask them if they're lactose intolerant first!

I love milk stouts, and am lactose intolerant, that is why god created "lactaid". Just pop one of those for every beer you drink.

Dang that sucks.

I thought lactose intolerance affects the back door, not the front. Shows what I know.

If he is lactose intolerant, he should have known better. Also, the problems associated with lactose intolerance are usually discomfort and bowel related. So, I'm thinking the puking might be from the alcohol, not the lactose - though the lactose may have made the situation worse.

I sparge with 2% in my milk stouts, just kidding
