I am using flaked corn in an upcoming Bitter. Crush or not? I am assuming no but need to ask.
No need, everything the mash needs is already readily available in flakes.

How a newbie is supposed to know that?
You don't need to crush the flaked grains, but I've found a small bump in efficiency when I do. Particularly with flaked oats and flaked wheat.
