I recently bought my first house and wanted to build a fermentation chamber now that I had enough room. I decided to also make it into a work bench and mill station also in order to save some space. Here is what I came up with.

That is a cool idea, but I would be worried about contaminating the beer. I try to keep my grain, and especially my milling away from fermentation. Grain is covered in lactobacillus.

Yea I've read about this, so I'm trying to build a little box and around where the grain will fall so that there will not be grain flying everywhere

Here is a pic of my grain mill chamber station. Built around a 5 g bucket. 1/2" high torque drill from Harbor Freight. Dial control for speed. Keeps the dust down

that is very cool, I currently use a drill to mill but could never figure out how to officially motorize it like that haha

I took drill apart so I could have a flat shelf for scale. Diyd brackets etc. all scrap from shop. The bucket slides in to recessed area, it helps to keep dust and small particles in the bucket. It has made my brew days a lot easier

I have an old ionizer that I set right next to the grinder. It keeps the dust to nothing Also I never grind when yeast or fermenting beer is around. The dust will contaminate everything
