I've been doing my research on how to balance a kegging system. It appears to me that the two most common ID's of tubing for the beer lines is either 3/16" or 1/4".

Going off the beer line resistance table HERE, It looks like the average resistance for the 3/16" is a good bit more than the 1/4".

Which ID are you using? Any good reasons to choose one over the other?

The more resistance the better IMHO. I use 3/16". I currently have 5' lengths on my kegarator and I do get some foam - not a bunch but it does poor fast. I'm replacing them w/ 7' runs. I tend to keep my head pressure at around 10-12psi.

Just started kegging and I get foam with 3/16, 5' line @ 10-12PSI. Looks like 10' is the way to go with 3/16?

Mine is at 10-12 psi and beers pour great with 6'.

Go with 10. Of you get no head you can always cut line off.
