Greetings all!

I'm designing an electronic gadget to do with cooling beer. When the task is completed, I want it to play a tune to let the user know it is done.

That tune will be made up of beeps, like a ringtone, and can't contain any words.

So, I want to know the most widely recognised, beer related tune that anyone will know what it is without hearing words.

:mug:

I'll let you know more about the product when it is a bit further in development!

Andrew

Duh!

"99 bottles of beer on the wall"

"99 bottle of beeeeeeeeeer"

"Take one down, pass it around, 98 bottles of beer on the wall"

Eins, zwei, g'suffa!

Ya, I'd have to vote for the old Beer Barrel Polka myself.

Now, not that I would endorse the next song, but it is well known in the America's and please, not too much abuse for me mentioning it.

The King is coming, I hear his call. When you say xxx you've said it all.

Not sure about most famous, but has to be the best.

Beer Barrel Polka / Roll Out The Barrel; or maybe The Beer Song by Weird Al...

The Star Spangled Banner.....The tune was commisioned specifically as a drinking song for a London social club......And hey, EVERYONE knows it! :)

Next time you hear it, just imagine it with drinky words, and you'll notice just how good a drinking song it actually is! :)

Well, not everyone knows it as a rehabbed drinking song. I wonder what the original words were.

Useless trivia: F.S. Key wrote 4 versus, we only use the first

EDIT: The Blue Danube was also a drinking song before Herr Stauss' orchestration.

EDIT: EDIT: To be clear, the song was written, by Strauss, for a men's social club choir. He later orchestrated the version that we know today. This is a fun melody for four people slamming car doors.

I happen to have George Thorogood and the Destroyers on right now, playing "I drink Alone". But maybe not quite the impression you want to give. How about "If You Don't Start Drinking I'm Going to Leave"?
