In a day or two (just slapped my Wyeast packet a few minutes ago) I'm brewing.

The sugars are coming from this:
2 lb english pale malt
1 lb munich
1 lb malted rye
1/16 lb (1 oz) roast barley
1 lb carared
1/2 caramel 15L
plus this:
1 lb DME
1 3.5 lb can of John Bull light liquid malt extract (UNhopped)

And the hops were going to be:
1.5 oz kent goldings at 60 min
.5 oz kent goldings at 20 min

But I accidently bought a can of *HOPPED* LME. I figure I should just cut
the amount of hops that I add at the beginning of the boil, in half.

Does that sound about right?

You are planning on mashing the grains, no? that's an interesting grain bill, and needs to be mashed to get da sugars out.

Yes, I'll be mashing (for my first time). Decided to post in the extract forum, though, because my question really relates to the hopped extract.

Oh, and get this: I'll also be adding 2 oz of lactose, and one vanilla bean in the secondary. Going for a slightly creamy rye red.

I've only used a hopped extract once and wasn't impressed, so I don't think you'll notice much of a difference if you just use it as planned. If anything, 1 oz at 60 instead of 1.5. I agree with Orfy.. throw in the extra .5 at 1 - 2 minutes left.
