So I just finished my first brew, and I just want to say it tastes great! I was very happy with how it turned out, since a BUNCH of things didn't go quite right while brewing.

The beer is a stout.
Recap of brew day: I couldn't get the water to a full boil until probably the last 20 minutes. I left the top on the pot the whole time (except when I had a small boil over). I then let the beer sit for twelve hours before pitching the yeast.

The only complaint/question I have is that the head/foam when the beer is pored is very thin and brown. The beer IS carbonated and I very much enjoy the taste, kind of has a coffee taste. I guess I wanted a thicker head, like guiness. My question is, is there a way for me to get a heavier foam for my next stout?
