Last weekend was my 2nd attempt at all grain, which was a total cluster F$%k.

This weekend was awesome!

I hit my mash temp dead on by preheating my tun and increasing the strike/sparge water by 1-2 degrees. I checked the pH and hit 5.4.

I went to different LHBS who lets you mill your own with their equipment. I achieved a 75% efficiency and hit both my pre and post boil volumes and ended up with a 1.075 OG.

It is happily fermenting away now.

Its great when things fall in place isn't it? The more you do the easier it will be. I always had something happen during the first few batches.

Now when one comes out right on with all the numbers, I sit and think "This went too easy....What the hell did I forget" :mug:
