The Houston Foam Rangers are happy to offer another BJCP exam study course this Summer. Classes will be held in the evening and meet weekly for about two hours. Right now, we are trying to decide between Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. It looks like classes will begin in about a month and continue for roughly 10 weeks. There will be a nominal fee to cover beer for tasting (usually $10-$20, depending on the number of people that come out). Classes will be held at DeFalco's.
It is no problem if you have to miss a class or two - this is not a formal occassion, but more of a discussion group led by one or more experienced judges (and, occasionally, an exam grader). I will lead most, if not all, of the classes. The class also includes a "field trip" to a local establishment. We also expect to have one of the Siebel Institute's flavor and sensation kits for further education.
We also will sponsor a BJCP exam in Houston this Fall. We expect it will be held on October 5.
