First off if anyone has made any of jack kellers apple wines I want to hear about it.

I have access to tons of golden delicious apples. Anyone ever use them and if so how did they turn out?

yes I have made some of his apple wines with good results. You will notice however that he recommends using tart cooking type apples rather than sweet eating apples. On the other hand I would give it a try anyway.

Just like for baking, tart apples for wines and ciders are best. You can certainly try it, and plan on adding acid blend for tartness, but the results may not be as good as with nice tart apples.
