Im making a kegerator out of a mini fridge and i wondering how to control the temp. should i just use the built in control or buy a different one. and what temps should i set it at?:mug:

if its just a kegerator, you will probably be fine with the current thermostat. if you were going to ferment in it or lager in it, i would be more worried. Set it at the temp you like your beer

I had foaming issues, and to remove temperature as a variable I installed a thermal controller. I now have much tighter control over my carbonation and it also serves as a lagering fridge when it is not occupied by anything else. (This only takes a small amount of planning ahead of time to achieve). When all is said and done, what is another $60 spent on a device you already poured money into, right? ;-)

But you don't NEED it, no. Setting the thermostat on low will probably suffice.
