So thanks again for all your advice about blow off tubes. Unfortunetly I did not submerge the blowoff tube in water or sanitizer solution in my jar. That means my beer has been more or less exposed to the outside air for three days.

Is the batch doomed?????

You're probably fine--actively fermenting beer is generating a lot of CO2 which is trying to escape through the blow-off tube (and therefore preventing anything from getting in and into contact w the fermenting wort). So just get some liquid in there ASAP in it will probably be fine.

No, not necessarily doomed. Go ahead and get the end in a container of water, then RDWHAHB and wait for fermentation to complete. If it doesn't look or smell too funky (aside from normal krausen) you're probably fine. The fermentation process itself can help prevent some nasties from getting in.
