Just wondering if anyone had advice on how to drill a 1" hole in a plastic bucket for the spigot. I tried in one bucket and ripped the plastic not making a uniform hole. Also, I have several grolsch bottles which i have been told do not seal as good as capping regular bottles. Any ideas will be greatly appreaciated. This is a second hand kit i bought from a guy who hasn't brewed in 8 years. Thanks again

Yes, a hole saw works perfectly for me.

I think Groelsch bottles seal just as well as regular bottles unless the gaskets are old. You should be able to buy a 100pk of gaskets for $5-6 at the LHBS, I replace them every 8-10 bottlings. If they're 8 year old bottles, definitely replace the gaskets before using them no matter what they look like.
